The world is mourning the death of actor Luke Perry. The Riverdale actor suffered a massive stroke which led to his death. A bereaved Leonardo DiCaprio, who will be seen sharing screen space with the late actor in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming feature, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, shared his thoughts on Perry.

Calling him an incredibly talented artist, DiCaprio took to Twitter to share his thoughts. He tweeted, "Luke Perry was a kindhearted and incredibly talented artist. It was an honour to be able to work with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his loved ones." Both Leo and Perry were the most popular heartthrobs in the 1990s. It has been stated that Tarantino's upcoming feature would have been Luke's biggest in his career. The plot of the film revolves around the Manson Family murders. Set in the summer of 1969 in Los Angeles, the film will see Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) as a former western TV star while Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) will play his stunt double. Luke plays the role of Scott Lancer.

The actor passed away on the morning of March 4, at St. Joseph's Hospital in California. He suffered from a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks home. As per a statement by his rep, the star was “surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”

Luke's death has left his Riverdale family devastated as the cast mourn his death. On the same, actress Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper on the show, tweeted, "I’m finding it hard to grasp that he will no longer be around to give long hugs and share his wisdom and kindness with all of us. I’m thinking of his family. His children. I pray for them to heal and find peace in this devastating loss." We hope his soul rests in peace.
