John Rambo wouldn't bow down, would he? Sylvester Stallone returns to play one of his most iconic roles of all time, in the fifth instalment of the franchise. Rambo: Last Blood, as the name suggests, will be the last film in the Rambo franchise that had begun in 1982 movie, First Blood. Rambo: Last Blood is also the direct sequel to the 2008 film Rambo. Sylvester Stallone's Rambo: Last Blood Will Hit the Screens on September 20, 2019.

Lionsgate, the production company behind the franchise, has dropped the first teaser trailer of the film. So John Rambo is not getting the quiet retirement life that anyone of his age craves for. As Sylvester Stallone somberly describes in the trailer, they (the antagonists) drew the 'first blood', now it is time for him to draw the last blood.

The trailer then shows how Rambo, not bogged down by his age, taking down members of the Mexican cartel using old-school methods like a bow-and-arrow, knives and the plain, old machine guns! Move over John Wick, ol' Rambo still has got a lot of fire in him.

Unlike the 2008 film Rambo, which was directed by Stallone himself, Last Blood is directed by Adrian Grunberg (Get The Gringo). The movie also stars Adriana Barraza, Paz Vega, Yvette Monreal, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Oscar Jaenada, and Joaquín Cosío. Interestingly, if things had gone per the original plan, then John Rambo shouldn't even have survived the events of First Blood. The makers realised the franchise potential of the character, and now 37 years later, we are getting a fifth film where Rambo finally bows out!
