Big news for Marvel fans is here as their favourite superhero, Chris Hemsworth's Thor is all set to return for Thor 4. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we last saw Thor, well in a much different version of himself in Avengers: Endgame. As it was reported earlier by Marvel, with Spider-Man: Far From Home, the studios are officially done with their Phase 3 and looks like we have an update on Marvel's Phase 4. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has recruited director Taika Waititi after Thor: Ragnarok to officially return for Thor 4. Avengers: Endgame Filmmakers Explain Why Thor's Startling New Look Was Needed.

While we all knew that Waititi was keeping busy with his other project, the live-action adaptation of Akira, it looks like it is now going to be delayed for Thor 4. Akira was earlier supposed to release on May 21, 2021, but is now being pushed indefinitely though Warner Bros are hopeful that Waititi will take up the project after Thor's fourth instalment.

It's no surprise that Marvel will bring Waititi back for Thor given that his Thor: Ragnarok fetched them a good amount of business and even won a lot of positive responses from the critics who loved the fresh vibe Taika brought to the project. He helped deliver the most well-received instalment in Thor's solo series with Ragnarok and may surprise us further with Thor 4. It will be interesting to we where the story for Thor 4 picks up from after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

We are hoping to get some more details about this project soon but we bet you are already thrilled to hear that Thor will be back to screens soon and this time may be in all his glory as the God of Thunder and not the Endgame version of Fat Thor. Stay tuned for more deets on this project!
