Anjali Arora, who rose to fame with her viral dance video on the song “Kacha Badam,” was targeted with a fake MMS leak in 2022. The morphed video, allegedly featuring her, went viral, prompting the actress to file a defamation suit against multiple media portals for tarnishing her image. Anjali has now reflected on the emotional trauma caused by the incident while reacting to the current Payal Gaming controversy through an Instagram post on December 18, 2025.

She wrote, "Three years ago, I went through the trauma of a fake MMS being circulated using my name. Seeing the same thing happening to Payal Gaming today brings back those painful memories. Anjali shared that people don't realise how such fake scandals ruin someone's mental well-being for years and impact their career.

She wrote, "People don't realise how damaging their actions are. For them its a minute ofentertainment, for us it becomes years of trauma. Beacuse of such false controversies, I was removed from some good projects, and even today I continue to face professional backlash, not because of my word, because of lies."

Calling out the mindset behind such behaviour, she wrote, "Its disturbing how easily fake narratives are believed and how quickly empathy is being replaced by judgment. This mindset is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. No woman deserves to suffer for someone else's cheap curiosity or baseless lie."
