Kayadu Lohar to Join ‘AK64’?
According to recent reports, including those from Valai Pechu, Kayadu Lohar is currently being considered by the makers of AK64 for a role in the film. While the exact nature of her potential involvement, whether as a female lead or a crucial supporting character, remains undisclosed, her inclusion would add a new dynamic to the cast. Lohar gained recognition for her performance in the film Dragon, which marked her Tamil debut in 2025.

Tentatively titled AK64, this project marks Ajith Kumar's 64th film and his second consecutive collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran. Their previous venture, Good Bad Ugly, which released on April 10, 2025, saw Ajith Kumar in a massy avatar as a retired gangster named AK, also known as Red Dragon. That film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, garnered mixed reviews but emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025 with a worldwide collection of INR 171.50 crore by April 15, 2025.
AK64 is slated to be a significant departure in genre from its predecessor. Ravichandran has indicated that while Good Bad Ugly was a fan-service vehicle, AK64 is designed as a “mass commercial family entertainer” with a strong screenplay, aiming to appeal to a wider audience.
The film's production has seen some shifts, with initial plans for filming in early 2026 being delayed after reports of a producer's exit. However, recent updates suggest a new dynamic, with Ajith Kumar's wife, Shalini Ajith Kumar, reportedly stepping in to produce the film under a home banner. This would mark her debut as a producer, actively overseeing the project's finances and operations.
