Popular Bollywood and Hindi Television actress Charu Rohatgi breathed her last today. Charu was seen in popular serials and was a known face in the TV space. She was last seen as Barun Sobti’s maternal grandmother in the serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. The actress suffered a cardiac arrest. As per the reports she was going through work-hours pressure. A source told spotboye.com, “The cause of death was stress as she was shooting until 3 am. Her funeral will take place today, however, the time is yet to be decided since one of her daughters will reach the city at 2 pm.”

Charu’s acting stint was not only limited to the small screen. She was also seen in Ishaqzaade where she played Parineeti Chopra’s mother’s role. The Golmaal 4 actress shared this sad news on Twitter saying, “RIP Charu Rohatgi ma’am. You were the most loving mother in Ishaqzaade and an amazing woman to work with. May your family have the strength to cope with this loss. Will never forget you!!!” She was also seen in the film ‘1920’.

The other serials in which Charu was seen were Uttaran, Pratigya, Trideviyaan. She was known for her kleptomaniac grandmother’s role in the comedy serial Trideviyaan. Talking to Tellybuzz, the actress had earlier revealed that she started her journey through ‘Ladies Special’ on Sony, which helped her bag a role in the film ‘Patiala House’. She further added that she could not pursue her career as an actor due to personal responsibilities. However, after her daughters’ weddings, she returned to the TV space. May her family and friends find strength to cope up with the loss. RIP Charu Rohatgi.
