Now that is one news we don't know how to react to. According to reports in Mumbai Mirror, Ekta Kapoor will making a TV adaptation of Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. A source told the leading daily, "Bijoy Anand, who played Kajol’s wayward fiancé in the 1998 romcom Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, has been cast to play Amitabh Bachchan’s patriarch, Yashvardhan Raichand, while Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi actress Erica Fernandes is in talks to play either Kajol’s talkative Anjali or her younger sister, Pooja. The part will be finalised after a look test." Ekta also recently tweeted that she will be producing another daily soap on Sony TV which will be 'all about loving your family'. Okay, I added that last line myself, that's not what she tweeted.

The producer tweeted and said, "A family soap after years !!! Mostly done love stories recently with d backdrop of family!! This soap will air on SONY ...a family that eats together stays together NOOOO a family that accepts each other stays together." Ekta has been focusing on producing a lot of good content on the digital content as well as on TV. Rumours also suggested that Ekta will be making a reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Though she hasn't spoken about any of her upcoming projects yet, we are super excited for all of them. One of her most successful shows on TV, Naagin is also coming back with the third season. The promo for Naagin 3 is already out and it looks damn good. The third season will have Karishma Tanna, Anita Hassanandani, Surbhi Jyoti and Rajat Tokas. But coming back to the TV adaptation of the popular Karan Johar film, what are your thoughts on this?
