Incident Recalls 2018 Killing of Madhu

The latest incident has brought back memories of the 2018 mob killing of Madhu, a tribal man who was beaten to death in Kerala's Attappady region in Palakkad district. Madhu was attacked by a group of people on February 22, 2018, after being accused of theft. His killing triggered widespread outrage and renewed concerns over mob violence against vulnerable individuals. The two cases are separate incidents, but the latest killing has again drawn attention to the dangers faced by people living on the margins of society and the need for lawful action rather than vigilante violence.
