The high-stakes reality show Rise and Fall 2 has been rocked by an unexpected display of compassion from one of its central figures. Shehzad Poonawalla, a former BJP spokesperson and current contestant, has reportedly made a startling request to the show's makers: to forgive fellow participant Siwet Tomar and reverse his eviction, despite Tomar being removed for physically attacking Poonawalla during a recent episode. Shehzad Poonawalla Makes Shocking Request to ‘Rise and Fall S2’ Makers After Siwet Tomar Incident
The incident, which unfolded during the third episode of Rise and Fall S on September 28, 2026, saw tensions between Shehzad Poonawalla and Siwet Tomar escalate into a physical confrontation. The clash reportedly began after Poonawalla, during an "Ultimate Ruler" task, named Tomar as the "least fit to be a ruler." The verbal sparring intensified, allegedly fueled by political and ideological differences, and comments concerning religion and caste, according to Tomar.
In a moment that stunned viewers, Siwet Tomar reportedly grabbed Shehzad Poonawalla by the neck and pushed him, resulting in Poonawalla's kurta being torn. The show's strict no-violence policy led to Tomar's swift eviction.
However, Poonawalla, even while receiving treatment for the altercation, urged the show's producers to show leniency towards Tomar. "When I got beaten and I went out, in two hours of that while taking treatment, I told the makers, 'Don't send him out, keep him. Forgive him,'" Poonawalla stated. He elaborated on his reasoning, highlighting Tomar's age (28 years) and the show being his "bread and butter," implying a greater need for the platform compared to his own.

Siwet Tomar's Defence
Following his eviction, Siwet Tomar shared his version of events in a video statement, denying that he intentionally hit Shehzad Poonawalla. He claimed that he only held Poonawalla's collar, which caused the former BJP spokesperson to lose his balance and resulted in the torn garment. Tomar further alleged that Poonawalla had repeatedly provoked him with comments about his religion and caste, which ultimately led him to lose his temper.
While admitting that physical violence was wrong, Tomar questioned why he was the sole individual removed, suggesting Poonawalla should also have faced consequences for allegedly introducing religious and caste-based discussions, which are typically against show rules. ‘Rise and Fall S2’: Shehzad Poonawalla’s ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’ Dig at Swara Bhasker Goes Viral.
