The State Bank of India (SBI) announced the prelims result for Probationary Officers (PO) today on their official websites; sbi.co.in, bank.sbi/careers. All the candidates who have sat for the exam can check their scores using their registration number. It has been a long wait for the students as the SBI PO Preliminary Results 2018 were speculated to be out since July 15 but has not been released. Aspirants can also check the category wise merit list which is published on SBI’s website. The SBI PO exams 2018 were conducted at various centres on July 1, 7 and 8.

The shortlisted candidates will now prepare themselves to ace the mains exam which is scheduled to be held on August 4, 2018. It is essential for them to note that the window for hall tickets to download for SBI Mains 2018 will be opened till July 20 and the results are expected to be declared on August 20, 2018.

SBI PO Mains 2018 Exam Pattern:

The SBI PO mains which is the second stage for recruitment procedure will be conducted on August 4 via online mode. Candidates will have to answer both objective and descriptive tests comprising 200 and 50 marks, respectively. The objective exams under PO Mains will be for 3 hours, and students will get 30 minutes to answer the descriptive questions.

SBI PO Mains 2018 Paper Pattern: 

For reasoning and computer aptitude, there will be 45 questions, 35 questions will be in data analysis and interpretation, 40 questions on general, economy, banking knowledge and 35 questions on the English language. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned t that particular question will be deducted.

After qualifying in SBI PO Mains 2018, group discussions and personal interviews will be held. The group discussions are scheduled from September 24 to October 12, and the results for the same will be declared on November 1. However, the above dates are tentative, and the candidates are recommended to keep in touch with the SBI website for latest updates. The SBI PO examinations 2018 is conducted to fill 2,000 vacancies.
