The National Testing Agency (NTA) released it first-conducted University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) answer keys for the exam that was conducted from December 18 to 22, 2018. More than 9 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. The UGC NET 2018 participants can check the responses and raise objections online visiting the official website; ntanet.nic.in. It shall be further noted that the challenges can be raised until tomorrow, January 1, 5:00 pm. No objections will be entertained after the said date by NTA. By checking the answer keys, the students will get to know how they performed in the UGC NET and can also speculate their scores. UGC NET was earlier conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). UGC NET 2018 Last Date to Raise Objections Tomorrow

The candidates can check the answers which are available online. The last date to challenge NTA’s responses is tomorrow. For every objection, the candidate will have to pay a fee of Rs. 1,000. A panel organised by NTA will consider the challenges. To raise challenges, the candidates even need the relevant documents to support their query. If the expert panel accepts the challenge submitted by the candidate, the full amount will be refunded.

What’s Next?

After resolving the objections, NTA will prepare another answer key which will be final, and no objection will be entertained on the same. It shall be noted that the scores of each candidate will be determined on the basis of the final answer key. The result and the final answer key could be released simultaneously. If we go by the earlier notification, the NTA would announce the UGC NET result on or before January 10, 2019. However, a confirmed date is yet to be notified.

UGC NET 2018 is the first exam that was conducted by the NTA after its inception. The exam was conducted smoothly, and no malpractice was reported. NTA conducted the entrance test at 738 exam centres in two shifts. One day one, about 65.3 per cent of candidates appeared and the second day witnessed 72.8 per cent attendance, as informed by the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.
