UGC NET 2018 Dates Revised! NTA Releases New Exam Schedule & Shift Details Online at ntanet.nic.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) today announced the change in exam dates for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 December session. According to the revised scheduled, NET will now be conducted from December 18 to 22 of the same month, in two shifts. In addition, NTA also released the shift details of the examination, which is available on its website; ntanet.nic.in. The aspirants must note that the exam date and shift as per the subject opted by the candidate including the city and centre will be notified on the Admit Card, the link of which will be activated from November 19 onwards. Aadhaar Number Not Mandatory for UGC NET, JEE Main 2019 Application Form, Clarifies NTA. 

Earlier, the UGC NET 2018 was scheduled between December 9 to 23, 2018. Now as the dates are being revised, the candidates are recommended to read the notice available on the website in detail before further proceedings. UGC NET 2018 will be held in online mode in two shifts—first shift from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and second shift from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. With the new exam dates, UGC NET will be held in 5 consecutive days. As soon as the admit card link is activated, the candidates shall check if the information including his/her photograph and signature showed on the admit card is correct. In case of any discrepancy, they must immediately approach the Help Line between 19 November to 25 November. The line is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. CSIR UGC NET 2018: Registration Date Extended. 

Admit cards will be issued only to those candidates whose applications are complete and fall under UGC NET eligibility criteria. The candidates are advised to report the examination centre well in time. In the first shift, they won’t be allowed after 8:30 am and in the second shift, after 1:30 pm, gates will be closed. NET is conducted for those who aspire to qualify for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor.
