The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an important notification online inviting candidates to apply for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE), recruitment 2019. According to the notice published at upsc.gov.in, the commission has 581 vacancies in the department, and the engineering graduates can fill in the applications which began from today, September 26 and will conclude on October 22. The first stage preliminary examination will be conducted on January 6, 2019. The number of openings also include 34 vacancies for the persons with benchmark Disabilities (PwBD); 23 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy & 11 jobs for Hard of Hearing. UPSC Recruitment Exam 2019 Date Sheet Released; Civil Service Prelims on June 2. 

Apart from this, the commission, has also provided the withdrawal facility from UPSC engineering services 2019 which will be activated from October 29 to November 5, 2018, till 6:00 pm to those candidates who do not want to appear in the exam. The total 581 vacancies belong to the posts of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. To register for UPSC ESE 2019, candidates will have to enter necessary details as part 1 of the application form and select the mode of payment, pay the requisite fee, upload scanned photograph, signature and tick the declaration check-box as part 2 of application. It must be noted that the female and SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from fee payment. However, the General category and OBC men candidates shall pay Rs. 200 for the registration.

Just like other recruitment exams, UPSC ESE will also be conducted in 3 stages—preliminary, mains and personality test. Those who qualify in the prelims will appear in the mains exam which will tentatively be conducted at June 30, 2019, at 24 test cities across the country. The shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the final Personality Test.
