The candidates were all geared up to participate in the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) tubewell operators recruitment exam today, September 2 turned. But the commission to cancel the exam, after the Hindi question paper of the test got leaked on Saturday, September 1. According to ANI, the Lucknow District Magistrate informed that the papers had been postponed as of now and a fresh date will be announced soon on the official website; upsssc.gov.in. The questions surfaced on social media since yesterday, after which it was carefully examined and discovered that it was the same paper for which over 20 lakh aspirants have applied. UPSSSC Invites Applicants for Regional Youth Development Officer & Physical Education Instructor Recruitment.  

The notification on the official site reads, “The Written Examination of Tube -well Operator (Advt No 15(3)/2016) due on 02.09.2018 has been postponed.” The latest update reports that the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested 11 people including a primary school teacher who is suspected to be the brain behind the question paper leaks. The exam was supposed to be held at 364 centres across the state. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of STF, Abhishek Singh identified the accused mastermind as Sachin Chowdhary, reported Hindustan Times.

He further informed that Chowdhary sold the questions at around Rs. 7 lakh each, managing to leak them through his leaks, around 15 hours before the commencement of the exam. The commission was immediately alerted, followed by which the authorities decided to postpone the recruitment examination. As soon as the cancellation of the exam was announced, students showed their huge disappointment, protesting outside the centres. UPSSSC invited eligible applicants to fill 3,210 tubewell operator vacancies. All the candidates are recommended to keep their calm and visit the commission official web portal to stay updated as the fresh date are expected to be declared soon.
