Haryana, November 4: In yet another, extremely unfortunate incident, the 5-year-old girl who had fallen into a 50-feet deep open borewell in Hari Singh Pura village of Karnal died on Monday. The minor girl was rescued a few hours back and she was reportedly in a critical state. The girl was rushed to the hospital after being pulled out from the borewell, but she couldn't be saved.
The girl was believed to have fallen into the borewell on Sunday at around 3 to 4 pm. However, the incident came to the light after her parents started looking for her around 8:30 pm and realised that she might have slipped into an open borewell. The villagers tied a mobile phone with a string and dropped it inside the borewell with the video recording mode on, and it was then confirmed that the girl has slipped inside. Then they contacted the local authorities for the rescue operation.

In less than a week, another tragedy has occurred which has taken the life of an innocent child. On October 29, Sujith Wilson, a two-year-old boy who fell into an abandoned borewell in Nadukattupatti village in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli district, died after being trapped for four days.
