Households that have already completed their e-KYC do not need to repeat the process. The Oil Ministry has clarified that the rule applies only to those with pending verification.
Confusion Over August 15 Or 16

Customers can download the IndianOil One app or the AadhaarFaceRD app, both available on Android and iOS. After signing up with a registered mobile number and email, users link their 16-digit LPG ID, go to My Profile, and select re-KYC. Consent must be given after reading the on-screen instructions, and any Aadhaar biometric lock needs to be removed beforehand for the process to go through.
How To Complete e-KYC For Bharat Gas
Bharat Gas customers need the Hello BPCL app. After registering, the e-KYC option appears on the homepage. Users verify their registered mobile number with a six-digit OTP, read through the terms and conditions, provide consent, and proceed to complete the authentication.
How To Complete e-KYC For HP Gas
HP Gas customers can use the HP Pay app or the AadhaarFaceRD app. After registering with a mobile number and OTP verification, users set a 4-digit MPIN, log in, and allow location access. The e-KYC option is available under the My HP section under LPG, followed by consent and a Capture Face step that opens the AadhaarFaceRD app for the biometric scan.
Completing e-KYC Through A Distributor
Customers can also visit their designated LPG distributor in person, carrying their Aadhaar and LPG consumer or connection documents. No physical submission of Aadhaar documents is required. Distributors enter customer details into the authorised system and obtain Aadhaar authentication consent, as mandated by the UIDAI, before completing the process through OTP or biometric verification. Once done, customers are advised to confirm with the distributor that their e-KYC has been updated successfully.
