Prayagraj, January 10: To facilitate pilgrims arriving during the Kumbh Mela 2019, the railway on Thursday proposed to run special trains from various stations in Maharashtra to Allahabad, Jhusi and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. The special train will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai)-Gorakhpur/ Jhusi, Pune-Jhusi, Nagpur– Allahabad to facilitate the passengers visiting Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh Mela. Kumbh Mela 2019: Know Date, History, Important Days, Train Bookings for The Religious Gathering of Ardh Kumbh 2019.

Here is the detail of the below-mentioned trains:

A) Train No. 01087/01088 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Jhusi (Weekly) Special Train on Special Fare (6 trips)

  • Train no 01087 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00:45 hours on every Wednesday and arrive Jhusi at 02:30 hours the next day. This Train will run from January 16 to January 30.

  • Train no 01088 Jhusi- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus special train will leave Jhusi at 09:15 hrs on every Thursday and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 08:20 hrs next day. This Train will run from January 17 to January 31.

B) Train No. 01115/01116 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Gorakhpur (Weekly) Special Train on Special Fare (6 trips)

  • Train no 01115 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00:45 hours on every Saturday from January 12 to January 26 and arrive Gorakhpur at 11:35 hours on Sunday. This Train will run from January 12 to January 26.

  • Train no 01116 will leave Gorakhpur 14:00 hours on every Sunday and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00:35 hrs on the third day. This Train will run from January 13 to January 27.

C) Train No. 01455/01456 Pune- Jhusi Specials (Weekly) Special Train on Special Fare (2 trips)

  • Train no 01455 Pune- Jhusi special train will leave Pune at 20:20 hrs on Monday, March 3 and arrive Jhusi at 00:30 hrs on the third day.

  • Train no 01456 Jhusi - Pune special train will leave Jhusi at 09:15 hrs on Wednesday, March 6 and arrive Pune at 11:45 hrs next day.

D) Train No. 01209/01210 Nagpur – Allahabad (weekly) Special Train on Special Fare (6 trips)

  • Train no 01209 Nagpur – Allahabad Special train will leave Nagpur at 19:50 hours on Monday at January 21, February 11 and March 4. The train will reach Allahabad at 13:00 hours the next day.

  • Train no 01210 Allahabad - Nagpur special train will leave 15:00 hours on Tuesday at January 22, February 12 and March 5. The train will arrive Nagpur at 07:10 hours the next day.

Meanwhile, national carrier Air India also announced that it will start special flights between various cities and Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela 2019. The special flights will be effective from January 13, 2019 to March 30, 2019. This year Kumbh Mela, Hindu pilgrimage of faith, will start from January 15 to March 31 at Allahabad, renamed as Prayagraj.
