Amid highting tension between India and Pakistan following the February 14 Pulwama attack, Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday visited border areas in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and reviewed preparedness of troops. General Bajwa also interacted with troops and asked them 'to be ready to face any eventuality'.

Amid mounting international pressure to take action against home-grown terrorists, Punjab government of Pakistan took control of all Islamic seminaries run by Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM), who claimed the responsibility for the February 14 Pulwama attack. The government of Pakistan’s Punjab seized the JeM campus comprising Madressatul Sabir and Jama-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur. The move came just a day after the meeting of Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) in Islamabad. According to reports of a Pakistan media, in the meeting decision was taken to uproot extremism from the society.
