Mumbai, January 18: A woman from Ahmedabad's Satellite area on Monday filed a complaint against her husband stating that he forced her into unnatural sex and abandoned her after she objected to the same. Police officials said that the woman's husband is an NRI, who lives in Australia. The 35-year-old woman also said that her husband abandoned her in Australia's New South Wales in Australia.

In her complaint, the woman claimed that her husband event went on to withdraw her sponsorship, reports Times of India. As per the FIR, the woman met her husband through a common friend in October 2016 in Bengaluru. Post their meeting, the two exchanged numbers and started talking on call. The FIR also stated that the two were in a live-in relationship for around two years, following which, they decided to marry. While her parents objected to the match, the woman went ahead and had a court marriage on February 14, 2019. In her complaint, the woman also alleged that her in in-laws harassed her and even taunted her about her looks.

She further said that her husband started forcing her into unnatural sex. However, when she refused, her husband threatened to file for a divorce. Last year in February, the woman and her husband moved to New South Wales. While initially it was a smooth sail, after three months, her husband once again started demanding unnatural sex from her. The woman in her FIR also said that when she kept objecting unnatural sex, her husband left her and even withdrew her sponsorship. In July 2023, he sent her a divorce notice. The woman said that retuned home after seeking help from the Indian embassy. The woman also said that she was depressed after being deserted by her husband.
