Cheepurupalli, April 8: Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna on April 7, Sunday, assaulted a ‎Telugu Desam Party‎ (TDP) worker at Cheepurupalli in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram district while campaigning for the upcoming state assembly elections. Balakrishna, TDP MLA from Hinduur, reportedly thrashed a fan after he came too close to click a picture with him. Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2019 Schedule: Voting on April 11, Result On May 23.

In the clip, which is going viral like a storm in social media, Balakrishna is seen kicking and hitting the youth. The actor got down from his vehicle and thrashed the dancing youth before going back to his vehicle. For a moment, everyone was shocked. This is not the first time that Balakrishna, a star campaigner of the ruling TDP, abused someone. Earlier, on March 29, the actor threatened a cameraman, when he came close to him. The Tollywood star apparently used unparliamentary language and warned him.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna will contest from Hindupur constituency on TDP ticket in the assembly elections. In Andhra Pradesh, the assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha elections will take place on phase 1, April 11. The country will go into the poll in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
