A woman was allegedly hacked to death by a man near the KSRTC New Bus Stand at BC Road in Bantwal on Thursday evening, in a suspected case of one-sided love, police said. The accused allegedly attacked the woman with a sharp weapon at around 6 pm while she was waiting for a bus, before fleeing the scene.

The victim was identified as Lavanya, 21, a resident of Uli village in Bantwal, while the accused was identified as Chetan, 22, a resident of Belthangady.
Victim Declared Brought Dead At Hospital

Accused Was Distant Relative, Police Say
