Probe Underway Into Cause of Crash

Preliminary reports suggest the bus was travelling at high speed when the driver lost control. Some initial accounts have indicated that a possible brake failure may have contributed to the accident, although authorities have not confirmed the exact cause.

The bus has been seized for a mechanical inspection, and investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area, along with statements from the driver and eyewitnesses, to determine what led to the crash.

Traffic Disrupted, Vehicles Damaged

The collision caused temporary traffic congestion in the busy Andheri locality as police and emergency responders cleared the damaged vehicles from the road. Civic officials and traffic personnel worked to restore normal movement after the accident site was secured.

The incident also resulted in substantial damage to several private vehicles, though officials are still assessing the full extent of the losses.

Renewed Focus on Public Transport Safety

The accident has once again raised concerns about road safety involving public transport vehicles in Mumbai. Authorities are expected to review the findings of the investigation before deciding on any further action against those responsible, if any lapses are established.

Police said a detailed inquiry is underway, and additional information will be shared once the mechanical examination of the bus and the investigation are completed.
