The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Baldev Yadav, a PWD worker who was present at the site during the operation. According to reports, the temple was located along the roadside and was being demolished to facilitate the widening of the highway. During the demolition, the temple's dome became dislodged and rolled onto the road, striking people standing nearby.
Baldev Yadav sustained critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot. Several others also suffered injuries after being hit by the falling structure.
