A family of four from Delhi allegedly left a luxury hotel in Udaipur without paying an INR 5.74 lakh bill after a 10-day stay, according to a report. The family, including a couple and their two children, stayed at The Oberoi Udaivilas from August 14 to August 23. The hotel has since registered an FIR over the unpaid bill.

Anurag Yadav, who reportedly stayed at the hotel with his family, said he could not pay the bill because he believed the travel agency that arranged the booking would settle the amount. Hotel Claims Travel Agency Made Booking

The hotel management said a travel agency named Maker Baha Travel Agency booked a room for the family through email on August 12. According to the Times of India report, the hotel said no discount, special arrangement or special payment terms were offered at the time of booking.

The dispute centres on who was responsible for settling the INR 5.74 lakh bill. The hotel has approached the police, and an FIR has been registered at Ambamata Police Station in Udaipur. Family Stayed From August 14 To August 23

Yadav, his wife and their two children checked into The Oberoi Udaivilas on August 14 and stayed until August 23. According to the report, when the family was checking out on August 24, Yadav told hotel staff that the travel agency would make the payment.

The family reportedly left the property without settling the bill. The circumstances surrounding the booking, payment arrangement and communication between the family, hotel and travel agency are now part of the police investigation.

An earlier report quoted a foreign YouTuber as saying that he paid 3,234 Pound, approximately INR 4,12,411, for one night in a suite at The Oberoi Udaivilas. The price included breakfast and private butler service. According to the hotel website, when checked on August 26, a basic Premier Room was priced at INR 46,500 per night.

The highest-priced room, featuring a semi-private pool, was listed at INR 67,000 per night. The reported INR 5.74 lakh bill for the Delhi family's stay therefore reflects the cost of a multi-day stay and the services reportedly used during their visit, rather than simply the room tariff.

The hotel has registered an FIR at Ambamata Police Station, and police have started investigating the matter. The allegations remain subject to the ongoing investigation.
