Delhi Nightclub Murder: Driver Beaten to Death After Beer Spills on Manager’s Wife at Her Birthday Party

A 29-year-old driver, Daljeet Singh, was allegedly beaten to death following a dispute over beer spilling on a nightclub manager’s wife during a birthday celebration in north Delhi. Police have arrested five people, including the club manager, his wife and three other staff members, in connection with the incident at a nightclub in the Inderlok area.

The incident took place in the early hours of October 11, 2026, at a nightclub in the Sarai Rohilla police station area. According to The Times of India, the altercation began after beer accidentally spilled on the manager’s wife, triggering an argument that allegedly escalated into an assault on Daljeet and his friends. How the Beer-Spill Dispute Escalated

Daljeet, a resident of Raghuvir Nagar’s JJ Colony, had visited the nightclub on New Rohtak Road with friends at around 3:30 am. The group was celebrating when a minor collision reportedly caused beer to spill on the club manager’s wife, who was celebrating her birthday.

According to a friend quoted by The Times of India, the disagreement escalated after club staff and bouncers allegedly joined the confrontation. Daljeet and his companions were reportedly assaulted with fists, sticks and glass bottles.

One of Daljeet’s friends alleged that the assault continued for nearly an hour. He also claimed that some members of the group were locked inside a room and beaten for 30 to 40 minutes. Daljeet Fell Ill After Returning Home

After the altercation, Daljeet and his friends reportedly returned to their homes. Daljeet later vomited and went to sleep, according to the police account cited by The Times of India. His condition deteriorated around noon on Sunday, October 11. His wife, Puja, took him to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Khayala, where doctors declared him dead. Police subsequently received information about the death and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault. CCTV footage from the nightclub was also reported to be part of the investigation.

Five Arrested; Police Officer Removed From Post

The five arrested accused have been identified as Dilawar alias Hasnain, a guest organiser; Sunny alias Gaurav, the club manager; Sharvan Kumar, who handled entry at the main gate; bouncer Vikash Balyan; and Harshita, the manager’s wife, according to the report. Police have registered a case under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including murder, attempt to murder, voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation. The investigation is ongoing.

Separately, the in-charge of the Inderlok police post was sent to District Lines over alleged dereliction of duty after the club was found operating into the early hours of the morning. Sources cited by The Times of India said the establishment had remained open until at least 5 am. Daljeet, who worked as a driver and was the sole breadwinner for his family, is survived by his wife, eight-year-old son and younger brother.
