Satish Salian, father of the late celebrity manager Disha Salian, has handed over a pen drive to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) containing video files and an alleged eyewitness statement.

The development comes as the CBI continues its fresh investigation following an order of the Bombay High Court, Hindustan Times reported.
Pen Drive Contains Four Files
According to Salian’s lawyer A Agarwal, the pen drive contains four files, including an alleged eyewitness statement and video evidence. Agarwal said the alleged eyewitness was present at the scene. He, however, declined to disclose further details, citing the sensitivity of the investigation and the need to protect the witness’s identity.
The lawyer also said CBI officials tested the pen drive at their laboratory after receiving it, prepared a report and formally seized the device in the presence of two independent witnesses. A copy of the seizure report was provided to Salian.
CBI Probe Into 2020 Death
Disha Salian, who had briefly worked with actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died after falling from a 12th-floor building in Mumbai’s Malad area in June 2020. The Malwani police had registered an accidental death report and concluded that she died by suicide, finding no evidence of foul play. Salian’s father later approached the Bombay High Court seeking a fresh investigation, alleging that his daughter had been sexually assaulted and murdered.
CBI Registers FIR
On September 2, the Bombay High Court ordered the CBI to conduct a fresh probe after raising concerns about aspects of the earlier inquiry. The agency subsequently recorded Satish Salian’s statement on September 11 and registered an FIR concerning allegations of gang rape, murder and destruction or suppression of evidence.
The FIR does not automatically make the individuals named in the complaint accused. The High Court directed that no person should be treated as an accused unless investigators find sufficient grounds to raise reasonable suspicion.
Evidence to Be Examined
The newly submitted pen drive is now part of the material available to the CBI. Its contents, including the alleged eyewitness account and video evidence, will have to be assessed by investigators as part of the ongoing probe. The latest development follows the family’s continued demand for a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding Disha Salian’s death.
