The victim, Kulsi Devi, was found dead inside her home in Sirmadih village under the Birni area of Giridih. According to investigators, Daulat Sao and Preeti Kumari were allegedly involved in an illicit relationship. Villagers told police that Kulsi Devi had strongly opposed the relationship and frequently confronted the pair. Reports suggest that she had allegedly caught them having s*x, leading to escalating tensions within the family.
Police believe the victim's opposition to the relationship may have been the primary motive behind the murder. Investigators said Kulsi Devi was allegedly killed using a tile-cutting grinder machine. The murder came to light when residents noticed a foul smell coming from the house and informed authorities. Police recovered the body and launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of Daulat Sao and Preeti Kumari.
Both accused have been sent to judicial custody. Police are continuing their investigation and gathering evidence. The allegations against the accused are subject to judicial scrutiny and have not yet been proven in court.
