A s*xual exploitation case took a dramatic turn when the female survivor allegedly consumed phenyl inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur after demanding that she be allowed to marry the arrested accused, whom she referred to as her "lover", police said. According to officials, the woman's condition is currently stable and out of danger following immediate medical intervention.

Incident at the Police Station in Gorakhpur

The woman, a resident of Deoria district, arrived at the police station insisting that she would marry only the accused, identified as 23-year-old Dhananjay Nishad, who is currently lodged in jail. Shortly after voicing her demand, she allegedly drank phenyl that she had carried inside her bag and collapsed. Women police personnel immediately rushed her to the Chauri Chaura Community Health Centre. Gorakhpur Shocker: 3-Year-Old Girl Dies After Accidentally Falling Into Boiling Sugar Syrup During Wedding Ceremony in Uttar Pradesh.

Following primary treatment at the community health centre, doctors referred her to the district hospital. Officials confirmed that her condition is now normal, and her family members have since arrived at the hospital.

Background of the Case

The case gained attention because the woman herself had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Nishad on July 23. In her complaint, she accused him of s*xually exploiting her for three years on the pretext of marriage. She alleged that Nishad ultimately refused to marry her, citing differences in their communities. Acting on her formal complaint, the police arrested the accused on Saturday, and a court subsequently sent him to jail. Gorakhpur Shocker: Suspecting Her Over Extramarital Affair, Man Slits Wife’s Throat With Knife, Surrenders Before Police.

Authorities confirmed that her condition remains stable as further inquiries continue.
