Gurugram Firing: Wife, Son of Judge Attacked Near Arcadia Market, Accused Arrested

Gurugram, October 13: An unidentified assailant shot at the wife and son of a judge near Arcadia market in Sector-49 of Gurugram. The police reached the spot to investigate the matter. It was not clear whether somebody was injured in the attack. According to a tweet by ANI, the gunman who shot at the wife and son of an additional sessions judge has been arrested. The accused, a head constable of Gurugram police, has been arrested.

Sulochana Gajraj, DCP East Gurugram said interrogation is underway and it is too early to comment on the reason behind the incident. "Mahipal has been working as Judge's gunman from last 1.5 years. Both the son and the wife of the judge who were shot by Mahipal are critical now", she added. The woman suffered a bullet injury in her chest while the boy suffered an injury in his head.

The DCP said the gunman of additional sessions judge shot at the judge's wife and son and both injured have been admitted to the hospital. Reports inform that the incident took place in the presence of several eyewitnesses. Class 10 Girl in Gurugram Kills Self After Hoax Call From Relative. 

Gajraj told PTI that the accused made three calls after fleeing the scene of the crime out of which one was to his employer of two years. He then reached a police station where he fired in the air and made away before the Station House Officer (SHO) could nab him.
