Haridwar Shooting: Man Shoots Sister and Cousin Over Suspected Relationship
According to police, Aman first went to the home of his cousin Suraj, also known as Munna, while he was resting there and allegedly opened fire. He then returned to his own home, where he allegedly shot his sister Roopa with the same firearm before fleeing, police said.
A man allegedly shot his sister and a distant cousin in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district on Saturday after suspecting that the two were in a relationship, police said. The accused, identified as Aman Kashyap, allegedly used a country-made pistol in the attacks and fled the area. The shootings took place in Jhabreda Kalan village under the Jhabreda police station area. Police teams have been deployed to trace the accused, Hindustan Times reported.

Suspected Relationship Behind Attack
Police said Aman suspected that Roopa and Suraj were in a relationship. The alleged suspicion had reportedly led to a dispute between the two sides around a year ago. The issue resurfaced on Saturday morning and allegedly resulted in the shootings. Police Launch Search for Accused
A team from Jhabreda police station led by Station House Officer Praveen Singh reached the village after receiving information about the shootings. Police have launched a search for Aman and are examining forensic evidence and surveillance footage as part of the investigation. Multiple teams have reportedly been formed to locate him.
