According to Jamshid's account, a senior official noticed the missing tie during the inspection and questioned him. Jamshid stated that he immediately admitted the mistake, apologized, and explained that it was unintentional. The official then summoned Jamshid’s immediate supervisor, questioning why the subordinate had been allowed into the terminal out of uniform. Following his refusal, Jamshid alleges he was ordered to leave the terminal. While acknowledging the uniform violation was his mistake, he maintained that disciplinary actions must be handled through standard professional channels rather than practices that compromise an employee's dignity and self-respect.
Jamshid subsequently reported the matter to IndiGo’s ethics and compliance department. While thanking the airline for initiating a review, he expressed dissatisfaction with the final outcome. According to Jamshid, the company’s internal investigation concluded that available CCTV footage could not verify his presence in Terminal 1 at the time of the alleged incident, a finding he disputed given the extensive surveillance coverage typically present in airport check-in zones.
