According to his wife, Neha Parihar, her husband's behaviour had changed hours before the incident.

"He suddenly lost his mental balance in the afternoon and was talking strange things. When the train stopped at Itarsi station, he got off, saying he needed water. No one knew when or how he climbed onto the train's roof after it started moving," she said.

She said the family was unaware that he had climbed onto the train until the accident occurred. According to reports, the incident took place before railway security personnel could intervene.

Investigation Underway

Railway Police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have launched an investigation into the incident. Officials are recording statements from family members and witnesses to determine the sequence of events.

Authorities have also urged passengers not to climb onto train roofs or go near overhead electric wires, which carry extremely high voltage and can cause fatal or life-threatening injuries even without direct contact.

Videos of the incident have surfaced on social media, drawing attention to the dangers of railway overhead electric lines and the need for greater passenger awareness.
