Baramulla, June 22: Security forces on Saturday neutralised a terrorist in an encounter which broke out in Boniyar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The joint operation was carried out by the troops of 177, 179 and 92 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu and Kashmir Police’s special operation group (SOG), 22 Rashtriya Rifles (RR). Security forces did not suffer any injuries or casualties. Anantnag Encounter: Army Soldier Martyred, Two Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorists Killed.

The security forces recovered the body of the terrorist. However, his identity is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the entire operation has been concluded now. On Monday, an army major Ketan Sharma was martyred in an encounter in Bidoora village of Anantnag district. One terrorist was also killed in the gun-battle. The martyred army officer hailed from Meerut Cant in Uttar Pradesh.
