A 24-year-old employee of a CNG station died after a refuelling hose burst and its nozzle struck him on the head at a petrol pump in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur district. The incident took place at around 10:40 pm on August 27 at the RK Jain Bharat Petroleum pump and was captured on CCTV.

According to information, the CNG pipe suddenly burst while a vehicle was being refuelled. The blast caused a gas leak, triggering panic at the petrol pump, Times of India reported. The employee was identified as Tushar Khamri. He suffered serious injuries after the refuelling hose burst and its nozzle hit him on the head. Other employees at the petrol pump rushed Khamri to a hospital for treatment. However, he died during treatment at the hospital.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump. The footage showed the sudden hose burst during refuelling, followed by the gas leak that prompted people at the site to move away from the area. The incident caused panic among people who were present at the petrol pump, with several abandoning their vehicles and running to safety.

Following the incident, police and officials from the concerned department began an investigation. Authorities are examining the cause of the pipe burst and whether any negligence led to the accident.
