The Karnataka government has finalized and officially allocated portfolios to members of the State Cabinet. The Karnataka government has finalized and officially allocated portfolios to members of the State Cabinet. Under the new administrative structure, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has retained critical key portfolios while distributing significant ministerial responsibilities among senior party leaders.

As per the official notification issued by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will personally oversee major state governance departments. These include Finance, Cabinet Affairs, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Intelligence, Information, Law, Justice and Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation, and Agriculture Marketing, along with all currently unallocated portfolios. Congress Leadership Meet to Finalise Portfolio Allocations for Expanded Karnataka Cabinet.

Among the key cabinet assignments, senior minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan has been given charge of the Housing department. KH Muniyappa has been designated to lead Social Welfare, while UT Khader takes charge of Minority Welfare, Haj & Waqf, alongside Health and Family Welfare.

Additionally, MB Patil has been entrusted with Commerce and Industries, a key department driving the state's economic expansion. Senior leader Ramalinga Reddy has been assigned to head the Forest, Ecology, and Environment portfolio, placing him at the helm of Karnataka's conservation and environmental initiatives.
