Child Hospitalised After Returning Home With Injuries

According to the child's family, the incident came to light on Wednesday when the boy returned home with severe swelling and injury marks on his face. The child, identified as Hriday, was reportedly frightened and in pain. The boy's parents then approached the school management and demanded access to the classroom's CCTV footage. According to the family, the footage showed the class monitor repeatedly slapping, punching and pulling the child's hair. They alleged that the assault continued for nearly 12 minutes, while no teacher or school staff member intervened to stop it.

Parents Demand Strict Action

The incident triggered protests by the child's family, who returned to school on Thursday and demanded strict action against those responsible. Following a review of the CCTV footage, the school's principal said the student accused of assaulting the child had been expelled.
