The Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association said the revised prices will come into effect from Tuesday, August 11. Association president Gopalrao Mhaske chaired the meeting where the decision was taken.
Why Is Milk Getting Costlier In Maharashtra?
According to the association, diesel prices have increased by INR 10 per litre while packaging costs have risen by around 30 per cent. Dairy Product Prices To Rise By Up To 10%
The price hike will not be limited to milk. Prices of various dairy products are also set to increase by up to 10 per cent, according to the association.
The latest hike is expected to increase household expenses for consumers across Maharashtra from August 11.
