Bengaluru, April 24: Mahesh Vikram Hegde, the founder of Postcard News was arrested on Tuesday, April 24 as per the tweet of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka general secretary Shobha Karandlaje on her Twitter account. Targeting the coalition Congress-JDS in Karnataka, Shobha said that the government is taking grudge of Mahesh Hegde for exposing lies of Gandhi family. Both BJP, Cong-JD(S) Say High Voter Turnout Favours Them.

In a tweet, the BJP Udupi-Chikmagalur MP said, "Karnataka govt again arrested @mvmeet today! The only crime of Mahesh Vikram Hegde is that, he has been exposing the lies of the Gandhi family. Mahesh Hegde, a strong critic of Indian National Congress, received mighty support from netizens and #IStandWithMaheshHegde was trending on Twitter. Rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra also question the arrested of Hegde. "Why Mahesh Vikram Hegde @mvmeet has again been arrested?," he said in a tweet.
