The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has not yet released the Round 2 seat allotment, as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is yet to finalise the Round 1 seat allotment and open the freeze/float window.
Why The Delay Is Happening
KEA is expected to issue an official update on the second round seat allotment soon. On KEA's official 'X' platform, the last update shared was related to DCET. Since the MCC NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment process is currently underway, the Round 2 seat allotment result for UG CET courses has been delayed as a result.
Freeze, Float And Surrender Options
Once KEA releases the seat allotment, candidates will be able to choose from the freeze, float, and surrender options, listed as Choice 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the portal. KCET Result 2026 Out: How To Download Scorecard at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
Currently, the official candidate dashboard displays the option for Round 2 allotment, but no allotment data has been updated yet. Students have been advised to wait a few more days, as KEA will process the seat allotment result only after MCC releases the final seat allotment for Round 1.
Smoother Counselling Process This Year
This year, KEA has revamped its official portal, and the counselling process is being conducted without any server issues so far. Until last year, students had faced difficulties while filling options and during the seat allotment process, making this year's smoother rollout a notable improvement.
