Police in Bengaluru have arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly trespassing into a woman's paying guest (PG) room, stealing her undergarments and sanitary pads, and arranging them in a s*xually obscene manner. The accused, identified as Giriraj D, a native of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, was arrested by the Koramangala police following a formal complaint filed by a 25-year-old resident of the facility. The suspect, who works as an audit consultant for a jewellery firm, resided on the second floor of the same co-living facility-Zolo Hazel PG in Koramangala 6th Block-where the victim lived on the first floor.

According to police records, the incident unfolded on the morning of August 24. The victim and her roommate had left their shared accommodation around 7:20 a.m. without locking the door. Taking advantage of the unlocked room, Giriraj allegedly sneaked inside, gathered the victim's intimate garments along with five sanitary pads, and arranged them in a vulgar manner on the premises before fleeing with some of the stolen items. Upon returning, the resident noticed her personal belongings disturbed and partially missing. She promptly alerted the PG management and reviewed the building's internal CCTV footage. The security recording clearly captured the suspect entering the room, handling her personal items inappropriately, and carrying out the obscene act.

The victim initially did not contact the authorities immediately. However, the situation escalated the following morning, August 25, when Giriraj allegedly attempted to breach her room a second time around 6:50 a.m. Recognizing the severe security threat, the woman immediately approached the Koramangala police station.

Following her complaint, law enforcement officers reviewed both internal PG surveillance and surrounding area footage, establishing Giriraj's movements and confirming his involvement. Investigators revealed during interrogation that the suspect admitted to sneaking into the room on multiple occasions to steal personal items.
