Mathura, June 20: In another gruesome attack of wild canines on children, a 3-year-old boy was attacked by five stray dogs on Wednesday. The incident took place when the minor was playing outside his home in Shiv Wala Nath Nagar in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. The dogs bit the boy, Aaradhy Mittal, for five to six times before dragging him to a construction plot. However, the boy was rescued by locals. Reacting to the incident, Mittal's father said we should stop giving shed to stray dogs adding that they could target anyone. "We were informed in the past that actions were taken to cut down on the numbers. However, the numbers have only increased in our society," said Amit Mittal targeting District officials. The District Magistrate of Mathura, Sarvagya Ram Mishra said that action will be immediately and the problem would be resolved in two days. "I assure that the problem will be resolved within 2 days," he said speaking to news agency ANI.

Earlier in May, a seven-year-old girl was mauled to death by stray dogs in Barsana area of Mathura district. The violent dogs severely bit her till she was reduced to a corpse. Following the incident, the police officials directed officials to catch the strays and asked villages to not leave their kids unattended.
