During the inspection, the Mayor said she noticed several people sitting near the seafront despite repeated warnings issued by civic authorities and the police.
She said: "On this occasion, an extremely worrying sight came to light. Appealing to residents to prioritise their safety, Tawde urged people to stay away from coastal areas while rough sea conditions continue.
She added: "When the sea's furious waves are crashing against the shore, taking such risks is absolutely not right. Your own life and that of your family is precious. Please follow the administration's instructions, avoid going to the seafront, and stay safe!"
The Mayor also shared a video from the inspection, showing people gathered near the seafront as waves crashed against the promenade.
