On April 23, traffic heading towards Mumbai will be completely suspended between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. During this period, vehicles will be diverted via the Kiwale–Dehu Road–Talegaon stretch onto National Highway 48 and will rejoin the expressway near Kusgaon Toll Plaza.

Pune-Bound Traffic Closure on April 24
On April 24, a similar closure will be implemented for vehicles travelling towards Pune between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Traffic will be diverted from Kusgaon Toll Plaza through Dehu Road and Kiwale along National Highway 48 before being routed back towards Pune.
Authorities have indicated that these measures are necessary to safely complete the maintenance work without risking commuter safety.
