Suburban train services on Mumbai's Trans-Harbour line faced severe disruptions early Tuesday morning after heavy overnight rainfall triggered a track cave-in. The incident occurred on the Thane–Vashi section between the Turbhe and Koparkhairane stations, bringing early morning commuter traffic to a crawl.

According to Central Railway officials, the cave-in was a direct result of excessive water flow washing away structural support following a downpour in the region. While regular train services have since resumed on both tracks, officials noted that residual delays on the Trans-Harbour corridor are expected to persist until normal scheduling intervals are fully restored.
