Muzaffarpur, July 31: The Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Case keeps throwing one horrific fact after the other. In the latest development  in investigations in the case, it is being reported that another case has been registered against the owner of the shelter house, Brajesh Thakur, after 11 women went missing from another of his shelter homes in Muzaffarpur, reported news agency ANI.  Thakur is the prime accused in Muzaffarpur shelter home case where more than 30 minor girls were sexually assaulted  over a period of time.

Meanwhile, the abuse case against the shelter home and those running it keeps getting stronger as more and more details emerge about the abuse of girls at the shelter home. According to media reports, some of the victims at the shelter home used to be taken to the roof of the three-storey building and stripped naked.

The girls have also said that they used to be beaten (spanked) if they refused sexual advances and did not give in to the demands of the offenders.

A private TV news channel aired the statement of a differently abled child on Monday and this is how the latest details regarding the case came to light.

The girl whom the channel spoke to, is a speech-impaired girl and she communicated her ordeal through sign language.

She conveyed that she used to be taken upstairs and said that the 'head sir' would make her strip and beat her for not fulfilling his demand. She and the other girl interviewed kept referring to the molester as 'sir' throughout the interview.

Another teenager, told the authorities in her statement that ‘Sir’ used to play ‘dirty games’ with girls, reported the Hindustan Times. 

The girl said that they were given medicines and that 'Sir' would arrive with two boys and force himself on the girls. The boys would hold the girls if they resisted the attempts of 'Sir'.

The teenager girl also informed that the man used condom as precautionary measure. The girls also claimed that double meaning songs would be played in the house in evenings and that even the women in the house, whom they referred to as 'aunties', would tell the girls to comply, but the girls indicated that they were acting on the instructions of 'Sir'.

The Indian Express, in another facet related to the case, reported that a Hindi daily which is owned by the main accused in the case,  Brajesh Thakur, received heavy advertisement amount from the government despite very low circulation. The report mentions that the circulation of Pratah Kamal, the daily owned by Thakur, were shown as 60, 862 copies which in reality only publishes 300 copies daily. Despite the low circulation and printing, the paper is said to have received advertisements worth Rs 30 lakhs annually, from the Bihar government.

The Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Case came to light after an audit report was done by Mumbai's Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The report mentioned of sexual abuse complaint from many house inmates, and an FIR was then registered by the Bihar police on the basis of TISS report.
