A three-year-old boy died after being hit by a car in Nagpur's Manishnagar area, with CCTV video of the incident showing the collision. The accident took place when the child, who was playing near a shop, reached the road and was struck by a moving car. Police have detained the driver and started an investigation into the incident.

The deceased child has been identified as Shree Ansh Pankaj Ashtankar. According to police information, the boy had gone to a shop with his father on Monday, July 27, and was playing outside when he accidentally moved onto the cement road, where the car hit him.

Following the accident, family members and local residents rushed Shree Ansh to Taywade Hospital for treatment. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, doctors referred him to the medical hospital, where he was examined and declared dead.

CCTV footage from the area has captured the moment of the collision, which has since come to light. The incident occurred at Shelter Society in Manishnagar, where the child was reportedly playing within the premises of a shop before entering the road.

Police Detain Driver, Investigation Underway

After receiving information about the accident, officials from Beltarodi police station reached the spot and took action against the driver.

Police identified the driver as Harshad Vahane and registered a case against him. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.

Elderly Woman Dies in Gondia Canal Accident

In a separate road accident in Maharashtra's Gondia district, an elderly woman died and three others were injured after a car fell into a canal near Hardoli village on the Deori-Aamgaon road. The deceased has been identified as Leelabai Gautam, aged 66. She died on the spot after the vehicle fell into the canal.

The injured persons were identified as Vijay Gautam (48), Sarita Gautam (40), both residents of Sakhritola, and Yash Jattar (25), a resident of Amgaon. They were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment.

Car Falls Into Canal After Driver Loses Control

According to preliminary information, the car was travelling from Nagpur to Sakhritola when the driver lost control. The vehicle crossed the bridge embankment and fell directly into the canal.

The accident was reported at Salekasa police station, where authorities have registered a case and begun further investigation. The two incidents have raised concerns over road safety and the need for greater caution while driving, especially in residential and high-risk areas.
