New Delhi, May 24: After BJP-led National Democratic Alliance's massive victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Narendra Modi on Friday morning met party patriarch LK Advani to take his blessing. Modi was along with BJP President Amit Shah. After meeting Advani, both the leaders also met Veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi at his residence in Delhi. Narendra Modi to Take Oath as PM for Second Term On May 30.

Modi gave credits to Advani for Bharatiya Janata Party's success in the general elections. "Called on respected Advani ji. Earlier, after BJP's victory, the former MP from Gandhinagar congratulated the Modi government."Heartiest congratulations to Narendrabhai Modi for steering the BJP towards this unprecedented victory in the elections," said Advani in a statement. "Amitbhai Shah as the BJP president and all the dedicated workers of the party have put in enormous effort in making sure that the message of the BJP reaches every voter of the country," he said.

In the recently concluded national polls, BJP and its allies got a massive victory. BJP-led NDA won/lead in 341 seats, while the Congress-led UPA only managed to get 88 seats. The Modi wave also halted the efforts of BSP-SP mahagathbandhan which secured 18 Lok Sabha seats.
