Bangalore, January 8: The government is planning to form a committee comprising of some of the biggest names in the Indian startup ecosystem. According to an Economic Times report, this committee will advise on reforms to boost the economy and remove the roadblocks.

People who are expected to be part of this committee and others. e are- Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Byju's founder Byju Raveendran, Nandan Nilekani from Infosys. The Council will reportedly also be represented by government officials and regulators. It is expected that the first meeting of the council will take place before the upcoming Union Budget, where issues affecting the startup sector will be tabled. Some of the key issues are providing investors exemption from the capital gains tax, to promote redeployment of capital into startups and others.
