In the last week of the 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute campaign, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the people of Delhi for their active participation in the anti-dengue campaign, resulting in zero dengue-related deaths. The citizens of Delhi have successfully managed to bring dengue cases to 489 this year from 15,867 in 2015. Compared to 60 dengue-related deaths in 2015, there have been no dengue-related deaths this year.

Responding to the appeal of the CM, RWAs, children, traders, celebrities, shopkeepers, and the citizens of Delhi came forward together to successfully defeat Dengue for the second consecutive year. Marking the last week and the success of the 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute campaign, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "Congratulations Delhi. Your participation and support in the 10-week campaign against dengue have set an example by defeating the disease for the second year in a row. Not a single dengue-related death has been reported this time. Salute to the commitment of the Delhiites."

Crediting the 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute campaign for no dengue-related deaths this year, Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain said, "CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal government's 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute campaign exemplifies how effective community-driven campaigns by the government, can yield tangible results. Together, we were able to bring down dengue-related deaths to zero."

On September 6, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal kickstarted the 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute anti-dengue campaign, by inspecting his house for any signs of stagnant clean water and draining it.

Last year, similar cooperation from all people, RWAs, religious and cultural associations, ministers and MLAs, and public leaders and influencers had played a huge role in reducing the impact of Dengue in the city, with only 2036 cases and two deaths as against 15867 cases and 60 deaths in 2015. The first edition of the anti-dengue campaign was launched in 2019.

Hailing the 10 Hafte 10 Baje, 10 Minute campaign this year, Shri Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, tweeted, "A seemingly small piece of news but such ‘human development’ indicators affect the quality of our everyday lives. Such milestones are worth celebrating." Prominent singer Shri Shankar Mahadevan also came forward in support of the campaign.

Dengue helpline

This year, the Delhi government has also launched a Dengue helpline - 01123300012 and WhatsApp helpline - 8595920530 to assist the general public with Dengue.

On every Sunday, under the 10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute campaign

- Change the clean stagnant water collected at home/shops/surroundings.

- A dengue mosquito thrives in clean stagnant water. The water deposited in the pots, coolers, A/C, tires, vases, etc., should be drained and replaced by the citizens every week.

- Add a small layer of oil/petrol to the accumulated water.

- Always cover the water tank with a lid.

- After inspecting their own houses/shops/surrounding areas, people shall promptly call 10 of their friends. With the cooperation of all, dengue can be eliminated from Delhi.
