According to the allegations contained in the complaint, Nayak allegedly established a physical relationship with the woman on the pretext of marriage and subsequently intimidated her. The complainant has further alleged that the police officer misused his official position and threatened her by allegedly brandishing his service pistol. "The allegations are that Sub-Inspector Prabhat Kumar Nayak engaged in a physical relationship with the complainant under the pretext of marriage and intimidated her. He misused his official position and threatened the woman by brandishing his service pistol," ASP Gochhayat said. Police said that several other individuals have also been named in the complaint for allegedly abetting or facilitating the harassment of the woman. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to verify the allegations and establish the circumstances surrounding the complaint.
